Installing WPS Office using deb package

Installing WPS Office on Ubuntu is honestly straightforward. We’ll download and install the WPS .deb package from the official website.

Step #1

Type the following command to download the latest .deb package using wget command.

$ wget https://wdl1.pcfg.cache.wpscdn.com/wpsdl/wpsoffice/download/linux/10920/wps-office_11.1.0.10920.XA_amd64.deb

You can also visit the official website to download the .deb package.

The downloaded file name would be something like: wps-office_11.1.0.10920.XA_amd64.deb.

Note: When you download or install this package in future, the application version or download URL may be different. Hence always download the latest available package by visiting the official website.

Step #2

Now type the following command to install the downloaded package.

$ sudo dpkg -i wps-office_11.1.0.10920.XA_amd64.deb

How to Uninstall WPS Office from Ubuntu 20.04

For some reason, If you want to uninstall WPS Office application, type the following command.

$ sudo apt purge wps-office

You can also run the following command to uninstall the WPS Office suite.

$ sudo dpkg -r wps-office
